Zidovudine

Zidovudine 
It is the first antiviral drug used in HIV.. 
It is the thymidine analogue.. 

Mechanism of action 
Inhibiting the enzyme reverse transcriptase, that HIV uses to make DNA and therefore decreases replication of the virus..
