It is a serious mental condition and people usually are not able to get over from a depressive state.. 
People of any age can have depression..
Initial symptoms include mood swings,Fatigue ,less sleep,Lost concentration, feel worthless..And If u r not getting the right  treatment and self care also it may lead to suicide thought ND sometime this thought comes into action.. 
Many people commite suicide because  of depression..
